- 4 cups berries
- scant ½ cup superfine sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup water
- Put the berries, sugar, vanilla, and water in a saucepan over low heat and warm through for 3-5 minutes, until the berries start to burst
- Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain the sauce to remove any seeds
