Homemade Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix
- 3½ cups sugar
- 2¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper, optional
- Whisk to combine the sweetener, cocoa, cinnamon, salt and cayenne pepper, and store in airtight containers (I use mason jars).
- Add 2 tablespoons of the cocoa mix for every one cup of milk.
- To serve, warm favorite milk in a saucepan over medium heat and stir in hot cocoa mix. Serve with whipped cream!
