Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients:
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tbsp garlic
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup (whole) milk
- ¼ cup butter
- Parmesan (for garnish)
Directions:
- In a large pot, combine everything but parmesan and milk.
- Bring to boil
- Reduce heat to low (about 4 on our stove) and simmer for 30 minutes
- Pour into blender, blend until smooth, return to pot. Serve with parmesan/sour cream/bacon.
